TPA newsletter > TPA Achieves Strong Annual Growth of 240% for Taiwan Cylinder Sales!



Domestic enterprises have been struggling to recover from the financial crisis that began two years earlier. In 2010, while global economies were showing signs of recovery, many factors, such as exchange rate fluctuation and raw material/labor cost increases continues to challenge manufacturing enterprises in China. These factors, however, have not weakened TPA’s strong

decisions and firm steps toward fast development in the Taiwan cylinder market.

Several months ago, TPA celebrated the production of its 100,000th 20kg cylinder for Taiwan. At this moment, great news from TPA’s Taipei office: that compared with the last year’s sales, TPA, by achieving a rapid growth rate of 240%, as now reached the top of Taiwan market share.


Outstanding product development ability and constantly assured product quality has fast-tracked TPA to the top of the market in comparison with the rest of the manufacturers. TPA was the forerunner in delivering hi-grade steel cylinders to Taiwan market. In earlier 2010, in Taiwan, TPA started to offer the SG295 cylinder. Application of this hi-grade steel makes each cylinder nearly 3kg lighter than normal, which not only decreases the transport weight, but also helps cut down the cost of distribution.


Also, in 2010, Taiwan authorities started to focus on the safety of goods which people use in everyday living. As the category of LPG related products have come under close scrutiny, Taiwanese authorities have made their cylinder inspections and sampling tests more strict. All cylinders in Taiwan, either manufactured domestically or overseas, faced the stringent tests. With its stable product quality, TPA are one of the few manufacturers left standing all, and has left many rivals behind. TPA’s cylinders continue to gain market share, which further affirms the trust of its vast number of clients in the market.


The achievement TPA has made in its cylinder sales proves once again the TPA Group’s solid market strategy and successful resources integration. It also represents the spirit of the Group’s concerted efforts and hard work at all levels, from the front line of the factories, to the second line, such as Sales, QA, R&D, and tooling departments etc.   

In concert with the further expansion of its already expansive cylinder production facilities, the Group will once again push its sales numbers to new heights in 2011 in the Taiwanese cylinder market!
